About Jeannine


Jeannine Foster, owner of PCM

Jeannine has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003 after graduating from New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts (NHITA) in Harrison, Maine. She holds a BA from Colby College, an MS in school psychology from University of Southern Maine and has trained as a Certified Personal Trainer. She served as the website coordinator (2011-2016) and Sports Massage Team Chair (2015-2016) for the Maine Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She has been part of the faculty at NHITA, teaching Anatomy and Physiology and Sports Massage to aspiring massage therapists. Jeannine also runs Foster Creative Design, a small web design agency which specializes in clean, simple sites for women-led businesses.

In addition to NHITA's 800 hour accredited program, Jeannine has continued her education taking classes every year and has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training. She holds certifications in Advanced Active Myofascial Mobilization, Neurokinetic Therapy and CORE massage and is a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Specialist (CMLD). Additionally, she has advanced training in treating TMJ disorders, cupping and ScarWork

As a former All-American collegiate runner and cross country coach, Jeannine understands the demands an active lifestyle can put on one's body. She is a triathlete and swimmer, an avid runner (when not running after her three wild children) and loves to be part of Portland’s vibrant athletic community.
