NeoLifting Facial Massage: A Natural Alternative to Botox and Fillers

There are more options than ever for addressing the changes we see in our faces as we age. Botox, fillers, lasers and surgery are everywhere — but they're not for everyone.

NeoLifting® is for people who want a different approach. Sometimes described as a facelift without surgery, NeoLifting is a 75-minute, hands-on facial massage that combines facial sculpting, manual lymphatic drainage, intraoral (buccal) massage, scalp massage and breathwork. There are no needles or machines and no downtime.

What is NeoLifting?

NeoLifting is much more involved than a traditional facial massage. The treatment works with the face, neck and décolleté and includes massage both outside the face and inside the mouth. Yes, inside the mouth! Intraoral or buccal massage allows me to work the facial muscles from a completely different angle. It sounds a little strange, but most people find it surprisingly relaxing.

Manual lymphatic drainage is also incorporated to help move excess fluid and reduce facial puffiness. Facial sculpting techniques focus on the contours of the face, including the cheeks, jawline and brow.

Is NeoLifting really a facelift without surgery?

Obviously, massage isn't surgery and NeoLifting isn't going to produce the same results as a surgical facelift. But if you're looking for a natural way to address age-related changes in your face without Botox, fillers or other cosmetic procedures, NeoLifting offers an interesting alternative.

After a session, the face may look more lifted, sculpted and refreshed. Results vary from person to person, and regular sessions are recommended if you're looking for longer-lasting changes.

Who is NeoLifting for?

I especially like this treatment for people who are noticing changes in their face as they age but aren't interested in injectables or more invasive treatments.

You might be noticing puffiness, less definition through the cheeks or jawline, fine lines, or simply that your face doesn't look quite as rested as it used to. And while NeoLifting is an aesthetic treatment, it's also a massage. It's deeply relaxing — which is a pretty nice bonus.

What should I expect?

A NeoLifting treatment itself is approximately 75 minutes, although I schedule 90 minutes so there's plenty of time before and after the hands-on portion of the session.

You don't need to do anything special beforehand. I use a small amount of squalane or shea butter during the massage, but otherwise this is a hands-only treatment. There is no downtime afterward, so you can go right back to your day.

How often should I come?

You don't have to commit to a series to try NeoLifting.

If you decide you'd like to work toward more lasting results, sessions can be scheduled more frequently at first and then spaced farther apart for maintenance. We can talk about what makes sense for you rather than following a one-size-fits-all schedule.
